SPMN overcurrent circuit breakers
SPMN overcurrent circuit breakers
SPMN-##\#
EAN:
SPMN series overcurrent circuit breakers are designed to protect electrical circuits from the effects of overloads and short circuits. They work by automatically switching off the circuit when the current exceeds a safe level, preventing damage to wires, appliances, and possible fires.
Overload protection:
When too many devices are connected to a single circuit, or when devices draw more current than the installation can safely handle, an overload occurs. The circuit breaker responds by tripping the circuit, preventing the wires from overheating and potentially causing damage.
Short-circuit protection:
A short circuit occurs when there is an uncontrolled flow of current between two points with different potentials (e.g., phase and neutral wires). A short circuit causes a sudden increase in current, which can lead to serious damage. Thanks to its design (e.g., electromagnetic coil), a circuit breaker quickly detects a short circuit and disconnects the circuit.
Application in electrical installations:
Overcurrent circuit breakers are a key component of any electrical installation, both in residential and industrial buildings. They ensure the safety of users and protect the installation from
damage.
